Artist's Comments

this piece has developed a symbolic story to it the past year and a half of my life. (a brief description of its developed meaning) when I first made it, it stood for a summer of new beginnings, that summer I discovered public art, and what graffiti was really about. Also I saw friendships that at had at first never thought they would manifest the way they had, but also the tainted side of every moment of simplistic happiness, the downward spiral of other friendships. but today I see a distant memory of a kid coming to harsh realizations that this world is a lot scarier and harder to cope with then many portray, and innocents is taken for granted, because when its gone its gone:)
this piece describes it far better then I could ever depict it with a million photo albums and shitty stories that I can't even tell very well.
hope you enjoy!
its hanging in the courier office at college of dupage if you ever wish to see it in person:)

see this one is strongly symbolic dude. since you did have that brief description, we see your way of thinking and how much the work came about. out some works ive seen i havent seen a mix of graffiti and a ready-made. definately cool. you should probably start staying away from clouds and drippy paint. love those stuffs too but it can get redundant. coming up with some crazy shit. now thats the shit man. like this piece right here.

Great story! I love it when artists take time to explain a little bit about their work, so we the audience can understand it.

Your work makes so much more sense now and I respect it.

I like that this has alot of meaning for you. It's really well done and to me it looks like a butterfly, which is a hopeful thing.
